Surah Yusuf (12:3):

Transliteration: "Nahnu nakusu 'alayka ahsana al-qasas."

Translation: "We relate to you, [O Muhammad], the best of stories."

This verse highlights that Allah is informing the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that He is revealing to him the best and most beautiful stories. These stories contain profound wisdom, lessons, and guidance for humanity. One of these stories is the story of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph), which is revealed in detail in Surah Yusuf.

The virtues of holding, looking, reading, and memorizing the Quran are numerous and hold great significance in Islam. Here are some of the virtues associated with these acts:

1. Holding the Quran: Holding the Quran with reverence and respect is an act of honor and devotion. The physical touch of the Quran reminds us of its sacredness and the importance of preserving and respecting its teachings.

2. Looking at the Quran: Looking at the words of the Quran with contemplation and reflection allows us to connect with the divine message and gain spiritual insight. It is a source of guidance and enlightenment for our hearts and minds.

3. Reading the Quran: Reciting the Quran is a virtuous act that brings numerous rewards. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The best among you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it." (Sahih Al-Bukhari) Reading the Quran with proper recitation, understanding, and reflection deepens our connection with Allah and increases our knowledge and understanding of His guidance.

4. Memorizing the Quran: Memorizing the Quran is a highly meritorious act. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The one who memorizes the Quran and acts upon it will be with the noble scribes (angels) in Paradise." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi) Memorizing the Quran enables us to carry its teachings within our hearts and minds, allowing us to recite and reflect upon it at any time. It is a means of earning immense rewards and spiritual blessings.

Engaging with the Quran through holding, looking, reading, and memorizing allows us to deepen our connection with Allah, gain guidance, and earn great rewards. May Allah bless us with the ability to engage with the Quran and implement its teachings in our lives. Ameen.
