The Soan River (Rawalpindi)

Once a pristine waterway that supported a diverse ecosystem and sustained human settlements for thousands of years, has become a victim of pollution and neglect.

The Soan River is believed to be older than the Indus River, as it has been flowing through the region for millions of years. The Soan River has a rich geological and archaeological history that dates back to the Paleolithic era (2.6 million - 10,000 years ago), whereas the Indus River civilization emerged around 2600 BCE, which is much more recent in comparison.
