The Hippodrome square, located in Istanbul, Turkey, is steeped in history and beauty. It was originally built by the Roman emperor Septimius Severus in 203 AD as a chariot racing track.

The Hippodrome was the scene of many magnificent spectacles and events throughout its history, including chariot races, horse races, gladiator fights and even executions.
