In a surprising turn of events, Lucasfilm has inadvertently unveiled the title of the highly-anticipated Indiana Jones game developed by MachineGames, a subsidiary of Bethesda. Previously shrouded in secrecy, the game has now been revealed as “Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.” 

This revelation comes amidst concerns about the disappointing performance of the latest Indiana Jones cinematic release, “Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.” The upcoming game will debut at the Xbox Developer_Direct event next week, offering fans a glimpse into the world of the iconic archaeologist.

Lucasfilm’s accidental reveal

The title of the forthcoming Indiana Jones game was unintentionally unveiled when Lucasfilm registered a series of website URLs, including “indianajonesandthegreatcirclegame.com.” This registration left little room for speculation, confirming that the game is indeed titled “Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.” 

Fans of the franchise now have a name to associate with the highly anticipated project, which has been in development by MachineGames for several years.

Further hints at the game’s title can be found within the original teaser trailer released by Lucasfilm. In the trailer, a collection of books is visible at the bottom of the screen. Among them, one book titled “Ancient Circles” stands out, with the author listed as Todd Howard. This subtle reference is believed to be an homage to Todd Howard, the director of renowned titles like Skyrim and Starfield.

Another book featured in the trailer, “Forbidden Stones,” shares a similar geometric circle design with “Ancient Circles.” While the exact significance of these books remains a mystery, they may hold clues to the game’s storyline or thematic elements.
