I think some people are not yet cleared about this update so simply you can earn points with these two things 

1. Get likes on your posts 

2. Do comments on other posts 

You should not always keep in mind that here you're to earn just go with the flow as long as you grow your profile well the more you will earn so it's pretty simple just use it as you use other social media platforms !!
