There are indeed pyramids in Sudan, as the Nile extends far into the African continent. The Sudanese pyramids are not as well known as their counterparts in Egypt, but they are just as interesting and mysterious.

The Sudanese pyramids are located in the ancient city of Meroe, which was the capital of the Kingdom of Kush. The kingdom was situated in what is now Sudan and Egypt, and it was one of the most powerful empires in the ancient world. The Kushites were known for their military prowess, and they conquered Egypt in the 8th century BCE. The Kushite dynasty ruled Egypt for over a hundred years, and during that time, they built many pyramids in Sudan.

There are around two hundred pyramids in Sudan, and they are made from sandstone. They are much smaller than the Egyptian pyramids, but they are just as impressive. The pyramids were built as tombs for the Kushite kings and queens, and they were decorated with hieroglyphics and reliefs.

The pyramids of Sudan are not as well preserved as the Egyptian pyramids, but they are still an amazing sight. If you ever have the chance to visit Sudan, be sure to see the pyramids for yourself!

I went to Sudan twice although I did not have the oppotunity to visit the pyramids
