The rise of Crypto and Blockchain is inevitable and as we all know. If you do not know this then I suggest doing more research and finding out why Cryptocurrency was originally created. It is an unstoppable machine that will not stop growing no matter what the world throws at it. This is one of the reasons I write articles and share my thoughts on projects I think have a future.
This next project I am going to share is one of the best if not the best social blockchain projects I have come around to. I know I say that a lot about the projects I share but I am confident in a good majority of crypto projects, but only a small handful of social Blockchain projects. I believe there are five major social Blockchain projects people need to keep an eye on. I have written about this project before but I want to do an updated version and get a little more in-depth version.

What is DeSo?
DeSo is a fairly new blockchain that’s been built from scratch to decentralize social media. The goal is to give more power to creators, users, and developers, rather than big tech companies that control most of what we see online today.
DeSo was founded by Nader Al-Naji in 2019, and the DeSo Foundation supports the blockchain. They announced a $50 million developer fund in 2021, known as the Octane Fund. One of the most significant advantages of DeSo is that it’s not a general-purpose blockchain, which means it supports a narrow set of social-oriented features, making it highly scalable and more cost-effective for on-chain storage.
How Does DeSo Work?
DeSo allows users to own their identity, profile, content, and social graph, which means that they have complete control over their data, and it cannot be censored. This blockchain has new tools for monetization, such as Social Tokens, Social DAOs, Social NFTs, Social Tipping, and more, which help creators earn money for doing what they love.
Developers can build applications in a gasless, permissionless, and transparent environment, where everything is open and on-chain, providing ultimate accessibility and composability. DeSo is designed to support storage-heavy or infinite-state applications, opening up new opportunities for web3 apps that aren’t financial-based, which weren’t possible before.

DeSo Token and Blockchain
What makes DeSo different from other social platforms is that it is run on its own Blockchain. There are practically no transaction fees and it has lightning-fast speed. I believe that DeSo is extremely undervalued. As time goes on and more people realize the old way of social media is dying, we will see a large influx of people moving to platforms such as this one.
Not only is it run on its own Blockchain, but everyone who uses the platform has their own crypto. This is a little hard to explain in an article but if you’d like to know more about this, check out my video at the beginning of this article.

DeSo is an exciting new blockchain that empowers creators, users, and developers, giving them more control and financial opportunities than traditional social media.
