Why is my heart still there

when I am already here
back at home

was it that
I had left a portion of my heart
when I was there

that I longed to go back

Inshaallah

I shall go back.
(I did take my all family to Umrah in 2014-2015)

If all the world knew

how safe one feels
in this enchanted city
the santuary

it shouts
out loud

that this
is the city
that the Prophet build

as a model
for others to see.

The Clock Tower stands tall between the minarets,

Its purpose is to announce the next prayer time,
For the next meal,
And the next break to rest.

Time,
Both fleeting and enduring,
In its midst, we seek forgiveness,
We beseech The Lord with tears.

And now, my God, I confess my transgressions,
Forgive me for my wrongdoings.
I am the one who committed evil,
I am the one who erred,
I am the one who intended to sin,
I am the one who was ignorant,
I am the one who was heedless,
I am the one who was negligent,
I am the one who relied on others besides You,
I am the one who planned,
I am the one who broke promises,
I am the one who strayed,
I am the one who acknowledged my sins,
I am the one who recognized Your blessings upon me,
Just to return to my transgressions.

So forgive me for my sins,
O Lord, who is unaffected by the sins of His servants,
And who does not depend on their obedience.
Through your aid and mercy, you grant success
To those who strive in righteousness.

All praise belongs to You, My God and My Lord!

From different lands come different people
Different people
come together in this place,
but here,
everyone is treated
as equals regardless
of their differences.

That is a beautiful verse from the Quran (49:13), which emphasizes the unity of humanity and the importance of recognizing and appreciating our diversity. It reminds us that although we come from different backgrounds, nations, and tribes, we are ultimately all part of the same human family. The verse highlights that the true measure of honor and greatness in the sight of God is not based on wealth, power, or social status, but rather on piety and righteousness.

This verse encourages people to seek knowledge and understanding of one another, to foster empathy and compassion, and to promote harmony and cooperation among individuals and communities. It reminds us that our differences should be seen as a source of enrichment and learning, rather than division or conflict. By recognizing our shared origin and common humanity, we can strive for unity and build a more inclusive and harmonious society.

The Haj journey

The Haj Journey is a very special journey unlike any other journeys one takes. Each pilgrim will have their own experience. This one trails my experience. 17th DEC 2005 - 27th JAN 2006
